Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain clean driving record and DOT compliance documentation
- Manage secure loading/unloading procedures with attention to detail
- Optimize routes for on-time deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and clients
- Submit accurate daily logs and expense reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (2005+ model, under 200k miles)
- Active DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Smartphone with reliable data for app-based dispatch
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong time management and customer service skills
