Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently across Baltimore metro area and regional routes
- Maintain daily vehicle inspections and compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize time and fuel efficiency
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load updates and adjustments
- Ensure accurate documentation (BOLs, delivery confirmations, mileage logs)
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and report repairs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable late-model box truck (26' or under) in good mechanical condition
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable internet connectivity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for early morning/weekend deliveries
