Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for freight transport within Anchorage metropolitan area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for timely pickups/deliveries
- Verify cargo documentation and maintain delivery records
- Adhere to Alaska DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Manage loading/unloading procedures when required
- Report mechanical issues promptly for fleet maintenance coordination
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Own or lease DOT-compliant box truck (26' max)
- Current commercial liability insurance ($1M min)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable internet access
- Alaska residency required
