Responsibilities
- Operate a 26,000 lb GVW box truck to transport freight efficiently and safely.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on or before the agreed-upon schedule.
- Handle all necessary documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Provide excellent customer service during loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain a professional image and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Ownership: Must currently own and maintain a reliable 26-foot box truck.
- Experience: Proven track record as an Owner Operator or professional driver.
- License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Record: Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to read maps and GPS devices.
- Physical: Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
