Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for regional freight distribution
- Adhere to DOT regulations, including HOS compliance and pre/post-trip inspections
- Manage delivery schedules with precise time management and route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of freight
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) meeting DOT specifications
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highways
- Basic smartphone proficiency for load tracking apps
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Proven customer service orientation and punctuality
