Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for local/regional deliveries in Houston metro area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
- Manage loading/unloading with hydraulic tailgate assistance
- Track deliveries via GPS and maintain digital manifests
- Communicate delivery status with dispatch and clients
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading
- Adhere to safety protocols and seasonal weather adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (3+ years)
- Box truck or straight truck ownership (26-28ft)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and drug test clearance
- Smartphone with navigation/data capabilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Commercial insurance ($1M liability)
