Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Supervise student conduct and maintain a positive bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt routes for field trips and special events as needed
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Ensure ADA compliance for students with special needs
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean record (3+ years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (training provided)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work split shifts (mornings and afternoons)
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
