Responsibilities
- Operate box truck safely and efficiently within San Jose Bay Area
- Manage pickup/delivery schedules and route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team via remote mobile app
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and minor maintenance
- Submit weekly invoices and expense reports digitally
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Own late-model box truck (26ft max) with current registration
- Proven experience in local/regional delivery
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic smartphone proficiency for remote admin tasks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings/weekends
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
