Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck for local/regional deliveries within the Bay Area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and vehicle inspection reports
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery confirmations
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage backhaul opportunities to maximize revenue efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with box trucks
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for preventative maintenance
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with mobile dispatch apps
- Own or have reliable access to a DOT-compliant box truck (24-26ft preferred)
