Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for freight delivery within 200-mile radius of Sacramento
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Communicate delivery status updates to clients and dispatch
- Secure cargo according to safety regulations and company standards
- Submit documentation (BOLs, invoices, mileage reports) weekly
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Own or lease box truck (26' max length, 2020 or newer preferred)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of Northern California routes and traffic patterns
- Smartphone with reliable internet for communication
- Strong time management and customer service skills
