Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (24-26ft) for time-sensitive deliveries across Texas and surrounding states
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and ensure proper vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and load assignments
- Manage documentation including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and mileage logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable box truck (2008 or newer) in good mechanical condition
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays
