Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' box truck to deliver freight on time and within company standards.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Secure cargo using appropriate straps and blankets to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance for both the vehicle and personal conduct while on the clock.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
- Proof of current commercial auto insurance (minimum $1M liability).
- Ability to lift and handle freight up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Phoenix area routes and logistics hubs is highly preferred.
