Responsibilities
- Operate a 26' box truck to transport goods safely and efficiently across the Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo using straps, straps, and dunnage to prevent damage.
- Obey all traffic laws and company safety protocols to maintain a clean driving record.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and pickup/drop-off instructions.
Qualifications
- Must be an independent Owner Operator with your own 26' Box Truck.
- Valid Class B CDL (if not held, driver must provide own authority).
- Current DOT medical card and valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of local New Orleans, LA roads and traffic patterns.
- Excellent customer service skills for interactions with clients.
- Ability to lift and move cargo (up to 50 lbs) independently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
