Responsibilities
- Secure and verify cargo loads to ensure safety and prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance and vehicle health.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Manage all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs.
- Maintain a professional image while interacting with customers and brokers.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (or equivalent experience if operating smaller vehicles).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Own a well-maintained, reliable box truck (20ft - 26ft) suitable for the job.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar routes confidently.
- Ability to lift and maneuver cargo with or without assistance.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
