Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial box trucks to deliver goods on time and within the designated route.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing straps.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and manage all necessary cargo documentation (BOLs, PODs).
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (or Class B with appropriate endorsements).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as an Owner Operator or professional driver.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 6 months.
- Proof of current Commercial Auto Insurance and Cargo Insurance with minimum required coverage limits.
- Strong communication skills and ability to use a smartphone or dispatch software for updates.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
