Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within the Indianapolis metro area
- Manage loading/unloading of freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (E-logs)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for preventative maintenance
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Reliable owned box truck (2015 or newer preferred)
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
