Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a box truck (24-26 ft) for local/regional freight transport
- Manage delivery logistics, including loading/unloading and route optimization
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT/FMCSA standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service
- Coordinate with dispatch team to maximize operational efficiency
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company compliance standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience with box trucks
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable box truck in good condition (24-26 ft capacity)
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs/maintenance
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for dispatch communications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
