Responsibilities
- Operate Vehicle: Safely and efficiently operate your own box truck to transport goods to designated delivery locations within Toledo and surrounding areas.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading, ensuring a professional image for our brand.
- Route Planning: Utilize GPS and route planning tools to determine the most efficient path, minimizing fuel costs and transit time.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and any necessary local or federal paperwork.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is in peak operating condition.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driver's endorsement required.
- Equipment: You must own a fully operational box truck suitable for cargo transport.
- Insurance: Proof of current commercial auto insurance and liability coverage.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or box truck environment.
- Background: Clean driving record and satisfactory background check results.
- Skills: Strong navigation skills, ability to lift heavy items, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
