Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery
- Manage pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Optimize delivery routes to meet on-time performance standards
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic tracking systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling protocols
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability $1M+)
- Reliable personal box truck (2015+ model preferred)
- Drug-free certification and TWIC card
- Basic GPS navigation and smartphone proficiency
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
