Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer on dedicated routes between Sacramento and Western US distribution centers
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Complete required paperwork including delivery receipts, logs, and incident reports
- Represent Premier Logistics Group with professional conduct at customer facilities
- Monitor freight security and report any discrepancies immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and climb trailer decks
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend work as needed
- Experience with flatbed, dry van, or refrigerated trailers preferred
