Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial box trucks on assigned delivery routes in and around the Chula Vista area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and damage control.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every delivery point, including professional unloading when required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card is required.
- Must own a reliable box truck suitable for regional freight (GVW 26,001 lbs or less).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and DOT safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
