Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck for local/regional freight delivery in Charlotte metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and time management
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Ensure secure handling of freight and proper documentation
- Optimize fuel efficiency and operating costs
- Represent brand standards through professional conduct
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- DOT medical certification and active authority (MC number)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (26-28ft) meeting DOT specs
- Smartphone with reliable data connectivity
- Basic accounting skills for independent contractor management
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte metro area routes
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
