Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your DOT-compliant box truck for local/regional freight deliveries
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across Baltimore metro area
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and digital tracking systems for all shipments
- Build strong relationships with clients and warehouse personnel
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance as required
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable DOT-compliant box truck (2008 or newer preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Smartphone with reliable internet for dispatch communication
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
