Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight across Anchorage and surrounding regions
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and Alaska state transportation laws
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
- Optimize route planning to maximize efficiency and fuel savings
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load adjustments
- Document delivery logs and maintain accurate records
- Represent Alaska Freight Solutions with professional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Own or lease a 24ft box truck in good mechanical condition
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Anchorage geography and Alaskan road conditions
- Basic accounting skills for independent contractor management
- Strong time management and communication abilities
