Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and coordinate maintenance
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries using GPS technology
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Adhere to all FMCSA safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Own DOT-compliant box truck (24-26ft preferred)
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M+ coverage)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Orlando metro area and Florida routes
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
