Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight from distribution centers to client locations across Virginia and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment while following safety protocols
- Adapt routes in real-time using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Complete electronic logging and delivery documentation with precision
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and interstate systems
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
