Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within the Houston metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal route planning and scheduling
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight with proper documentation
- Uphold strict safety compliance and DOT regulations at all times
- Build client relationships through professional on-time service delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Must own or lease DOT-compliant box truck (26,000 lbs GVWR or less)
- Current commercial auto insurance with $1M liability coverage
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Smartphone proficiency for dispatch communication and e-logging
