Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided box truck for local and regional freight delivery
- Manage efficient loading/unloading procedures while maintaining cargo security
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight deadlines and maximize mileage
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time schedule adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- 2+ years verifiable box truck or commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and operate loading equipment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent time management skills
- Proof of general liability insurance coverage
- Pass background check and drug screening (FMCSA compliant)
