Responsibilities
- Safely operate 24-26ft box trucks for local and regional freight deliveries
- Manage pre-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate with clients regarding delivery status and service requirements
- Track mileage, expenses, and revenue for weekly settlements
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck in good working condition
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of Greensboro metro area and surrounding routes
