Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain box truck equipment in compliance with DOT regulations
- Manage efficient delivery routes and schedules for on-time performance
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery operations
- Document trip details, fuel expenses, and maintenance records accurately
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding shipment status
- Ensure proper cargo loading/unloading and securement procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Reliable box truck (26' or larger) with current registration and insurance
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset
