Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight to/from Sacramento and surrounding areas (Bay Area, Central Valley)
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and on-time delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading processes
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage freight claims and delivery exceptions professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (Class A preferred)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Own or lease DOT-compliant box truck (26-28 ft)
- Strong knowledge of Northern California geography
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and data capabilities
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
