Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local/regional freight deliveries
- Manage loading/unloading of diverse cargo with proper securing protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and mileage documentation
- Optimize routes using provided GPS tools for on-time performance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proof of truck ownership or lease agreement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento metro area and surrounding counties
- Commercial insurance with $1M liability coverage
- Smartphone with reliable data access for app-based dispatch
