Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a box truck (24-26ft) for local/regional freight delivery
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload freight using provided equipment (pallet jacks, carts)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize routes for efficiency while following DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients
- Handle paperwork (BOLs, invoices) with precision
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (or Class A) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of current DOT physical and medical card
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2006 or newer)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Smartphone with GPS and data plan
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Pass background check and drug screening
