Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during freight handling and delivery
- Manage inventory and secure cargo according to safety standards
- Communicate proactively regarding delays, issues, or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor repairs
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Reliable personal box truck (2005 or newer, under 200k miles)
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
