Responsibilities
- Operate box truck safely and efficiently on assigned routes within Madison metropolitan area
- Manage pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance, and ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for timely deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Optimize routes to maximize delivery efficiency and fuel economy
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or secure transport
- Represent Madison Logistics Solutions with professional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with box trucks
- Proven safety record and knowledge of DOT regulations
- Basic mechanical aptitude for on-road troubleshooting
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Reliable smartphone with GPS navigation capabilities
