Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck for local/regional deliveries in Sacramento metro area
- Manage timely pickup/delivery of freight using company-provided dispatch app
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and expense documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with clients and dispatch for seamless delivery operations
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and fuel economy
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Reliable late-model box truck (26' or larger) with current registration
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and maintenance
- Smartphone with reliable internet for dispatch app
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and communication skills
