Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between Memphis distribution centers and regional destinations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at client facilities
- Optimize routes for efficiency using provided GPS technology
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch team
- Manage invoicing and expense tracking for weekly settlements
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck/straight truck ownership experience
- DOT-compliant box truck (2010+ model preferred)
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Ability to pass TSA background screening and drug testing
- Basic knowledge of Memphis metro area and regional highways
- Smartphone proficiency for mobile app communications
