Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 24-26 ft box truck for local and regional deliveries in the Greater Los Angeles area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic tracking systems
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and meet tight delivery windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Manage inventory verification and secure cargo handling protocols
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and California state transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial vehicle insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck in excellent mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of LA metro area routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- DOT medical certification and required annual physicals
- Smartphone with reliable data for communication and GPS navigation
