Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently on dedicated Pittsburgh metro routes
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain detailed trip logs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization and customer communication
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards at all times
- Represent the company professionally during customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Pittsburgh area geography and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable personal vehicle for commute to depot locations
- Pass background check and drug screening
