Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for local/regional freight delivery in Michigan and surrounding states
- Manage route planning and scheduling to optimize delivery efficiency
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and required documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for load assignments and schedule adjustments
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Reliable box truck (2008+ model) with proper insurance coverage
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common issues
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Smartphone with reliable internet connectivity
