Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery in Wichita metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and on-time performance
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures with clients
- Manage inventory tracking for delivered goods
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capabilities
- Proof of commercial auto insurance
