Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for regional freight delivery within Nebraska and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance documentation
- Optimize routes to ensure timely delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
- Manage client communications and resolve delivery exceptions proactively
- Coordinate with dispatch team to maximize load efficiency and minimize downtime
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Utilize provided GPS tracking system for real-time route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial auto liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2005 or newer preferred)
- Basic understanding of freight logistics and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
