Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional deliveries within Oklahoma and neighboring states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-sensitive and high-value shipments
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
- Optimize routes to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience with box trucks
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable box truck (2008 or newer) with DOT inspection certification
- Strong knowledge of Tulsa metro area and regional highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Basic accounting knowledge for independent contractor responsibilities
