Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/short-haul deliveries within Atlanta metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (BOLs, mileage reports)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Manage fuel expenses efficiently to maximize profitability
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Smartphone proficiency for app-based load management
- Strong time management and communication skills
