Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Operate delivery vehicles in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner while adhering to all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring packages are delivered to the correct location and handling any special delivery instructions.
- Package Handling: Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring items are secured and undamaged during transport.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order.
- Route Management: Follow designated delivery routes and time schedules to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state of residence.
- Clean Record: A clean driving record (no major traffic violations or DUIs) is required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatch.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
