Job Overview
As an Amazon DSP Driver, you will be the face of Amazon in your community. You will be responsible for transporting packages safely and efficiently from our distribution center to customer doorsteps, ensuring every delivery meets our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport packages to customer locations adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring proper handling and organization within the vehicle.
- Deliver packages in a timely manner while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with customers.
- Assist customers with package placement and answer basic inquiries regarding orders.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Utilize handheld devices to scan packages and update delivery status in real-time.
- Handle any delivery exceptions or returns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic English proficiency for reading maps, directions, and communicating with customers.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
