Responsibilities
- Deliver Packages: Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial customers in Durham.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and fuel-efficient at all times.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Route Management: Utilize handheld devices for optimal route planning and proof of delivery.
- Asset Protection: Inspect packages for damage before loading and handle merchandise with care.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 5 years).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Weather Resilience: Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional appearance.
