Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in Detroit metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and update tracking systems in real-time
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize daily routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery windows
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and Amazon safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries
- Assist in loading/unloading packages at Amazon fulfillment centers when required
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) or clean Class C license for 1+ year
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening (Amazon requirement)
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Knowledge of Detroit metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
