Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes adhering to strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student behavior during transit and ensure proper seating
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Follow all Louisiana traffic laws and school district policies
- Complete daily mileage logs and incident reports as required
- Assist students with boarding and exiting procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (provided)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Clear background check and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Experience working with children preferred
