Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior according to district safety protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and defensive driving practices
- Ensure emergency equipment is properly maintained and accessible
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (provided)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility-impaired students
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Child safety certification training (provided)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work consistently 20-25 hours weekly
